Loretta's Countdown to 60

Aging on my terms - Daily musings in 500 words or so

Happy Thanksgiving 2017

Our Thanksgiving started a little rough this year. We live in an old Victorian that was converted into apartments and the plumbing is about 100 years old. We have one tiny bathroom that is right off our kitchen and this morning wasn’t pretty.

The shower backed up with black water. Eww.

Not a great way to wake up on Thanksgiving morning

Eww..just eww

After locating a plumber that would come out on Thanksgiving, we decided to head out to run the Turkey Trot we had signed up for. We ran in the ZeeBlu 5k. All of the proceeds from the race go to the ZeeBlu fund for Autism.

It was a beautiful morning and great to get out of the house!

Someone forgot to pace himself

Getting back to the house we still had a ‘situation’ to deal with. The poor plumber spent over an hour fixing it for us. Yay for those who work on Thanksgiving!!

Since it was just me, my husband and my oldest son for dinner, we decided to pack it all up and take it to my favorite place at the beach. We loaded up the card table, chairs, tablecloth and all of the necessities to enjoy our dinner outside.

We had the best Thanksgiving this year

The perfect day

This was one of my favorite Thanksgivings ever. Even though we had to deal with a little plumbing issues, everything turned out perfect.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year as well. Now on to more festivities! We have a big graduation coming up, granddaughter visits, Christmas, a birthday and then New Years Eve. Going to be a busy month!

  1. Happy Thanksgiving, glad that I didn’t see the back up until Black Friday!

  2. Happy thanksgiving! Glad the plumber go you all fixed up! What a view for dinner!
