Santa Barbara has a local Farmer’s Market every Tuesday and Saturday, year-round. How lucky am I to live where I can shop for local, organic, fresh produce?
Only I haven’t been doing it.
I generally eat healthy, and we have several options to shop for organic foods here. So it’s not that I eat a bunch of junk food or drink sodas, but something has been making me feel “bad” for several years now.
I decided to try the AIP diet to see exactly what foods my body is having issues with. AIP stands for autoimmune protocol.
I am basically eliminating all known inflammatory foods for a few weeks and then introducing them back in, one at a time. Hopefully this will shed more light on what is going on with my body. (Skin issues and gut issues 🙁 )
In doing that I’ve decided it was time to take advantage of the farmer’s market and get most of my food there.
Do you use the farmer’s market as a place to go for “entertainment” or is it where you shop? I’ve always been a bit overwhelmed with actually shopping there, but I’m changing that.
Are you taking advantage of your local farmer’s market? Or do you even have one where you live? I’d love to hear your thoughts too.
I read a great quote by Malcolm X the other day.
Is this just perfect? I like doing my “Let’s do this together” videos, because I believe in the power of “we”.
Thank you for joining in!
