Today is all I have.
I’ve come to realize I can not follow a diet or exercise program, if it is not something I can do long term. What I mean by that is, if the diet or program is one that I follow for a certain period of time because it is not a realistic lifestyle, then it won’t become part of my life.
I need to get back to a lifestyle that fits me, and that requires today to be my best day. So each morning I am starting my day with these words:
“Today I will eat healthy whole foods. Today I will exercise for my health. Today I won’t drink any wine.”
What about you? Can you follow a strict diet/ exercise program for just long enough to get to your desired goal? And if so, how do you get back to a more normal lifestyle, without gaining the weight back?
