Part two: On to Sedona
The next morning I felt worse.
John asked if I wanted to go get coffee and breakfast but then, seeing the look on my face, said he’d go get coffee and bring it back to the room for me. I just wanted to stay in my comfy nightgown and sweater and look at photos from the day before.
It was fun going through all of the photos taken from my Canon, as it did a great job capturing the beauty that is the Grand Canyon. After a couple of hours, I felt a little better so we checked out and headed south to Sedona. Continue reading
Now that Thanksgiving is over, we are in full-scale preparation mode for December, but maybe not how you’d imagine. We need to buy gifts and get the house decorated, but there is so much more going into this year’s festivities.
Today we are preparing by getting John fitted for a tuxedo. We have a very special formal event in December.
I have never seen that man in a suit, so I am excited about this one! Continue reading
There is something wonderful about starting my day watching a sunrise. John and I like to get up early and head out to watch the sun light up the world. It is one of our favorite things to do. Sometimes we ride our bikes, and other times we are on the road. We’ve climbed to the top of El Toro many times to catch the fist light of day.
Sunrise from the top of El Toro
John grew up in Morgan Hill and spent much of his youth climbing El Toro behind the family home.
He has pulled me up that hill a few times, but it’s been several years since we’ve been back up.
Until this morning…
yes, he is barefoot…
It took 30 minutes just to get the the part that was so steep I had to use the ropes to assist.
Great place to catch the sunrise through the hot smokey sky.
Amazing views up there!
But I was happy to be heading down!
Happy Labor Day Weekend! Stay cool
Traveled to the Central Valley, where its 100 degrees to work on our 100 year old house. Looks like a lot of work ahead of us this weekend.
She may be 100, but she will clean up beautifully 🙂
Valley sunrise – heading to triple digits!
Here’s hoping your weekend is less work than ours.
