A weekend to celebrate women!
We missed seeing my Mother-in-law on Mother’s Day last Sunday, so we thought we would extend the holiday to this weekend and make the trip north to take her out to dinner. A friend of mine shared on her Facebook that she had to work on Mother’s Day and would miss not only seeing her mother, but also celebrating with her kids.
I loved one of the comments on her post:
Sarah, Mothers day is not about a date somebody picked on a calendar (probably Hallmark) but more about our love and appreciation for everything our moms do and have done for us. Everyday should be Mothers Day. All of us who follow you know of the love you have for your mom so screw the calendar. P.S. You’re a mom too Sarah.
As luck would have it, the wedding planner in me gets to meet with the bride and caterer. She is going to be the most beautiful bride and I can’t wait to share her stunning dress!
And to top the weekend off I also get to see my best friend, Estelle!
We both have May birthdays, and always make sure to see each other in May. Happy Birthday, Estelle!
I hope your weekend is filled with celebration…. especially for women. 🙂
