Loretta's Countdown to 60

Aging on my terms - Daily musings in 500 words or so

Would you do it?

What if you could spend the rest of your life traveling… go anywhere and everywhere? In exchange, all you have to do is give up everything you own.

Your home, cars, toys, all of your possessions.

You can keep only what will fit into one carry-on suitcase.

  1. You should follow World Wide Waftage. This couple did exactly that and travel the world. Their blog is full of adventures and pictures. http://www.worldwidewaftage.com/ I personally couldn’t do it.

  2. No way. I love to travel but I love coming home even more.

It’s been interesting to see the responses I’ve gotten from this question. I posted this on FaceBook and Instagram also. I was actually surprised how many people feel the same as you do, Wendy!

  3. could I have two suitcases? 🙂

  4. I actually was talking to my husband about something similar though I was thinking along the lines of a small RV (not those huge motorhomes) instead of a suitcase. And yes, I could. We are so fettered to things. Think of the freedom. Lately though, I’ve been thinking about how I used to live off-grid, and missing that. In a way it’s similar. Letting go of everything electrical, internet-tied, etc. Until then, I think I need to do a spring-cleaning and release things to the local thrift store.

Lisa I totally agree with you. I too like the idea of a small RV, but can also see myself on my small off grid commune!

Good idea to start with some spring cleaning. I so need to do that too.
